How to Book a Public Pickleball Court in Madrid

At municipal sports centres, courts and classes are booked through the City Council’s sports booking channels (the Madrid Móvil app or the city’s online sports booking service), or in person at the centre. You pay the public rate set by the City Council, not a club fee. Some centres only offer pickleball as part of their municipal classes (escuelas municipales), so ask whether you can rent a court on its own.

Private Clubs and Courts Bookable by App

Several private clubs in Madrid have dedicated pickleball courts and take bookings online, mostly through apps such as Playtomic. Besides Club Deportivo Somontes and Madrid Central Padel, players also mention venues such as Lafuente Pickleball Hub and Club Fuencarral a la Par. Clubs usually rent paddles and balls, which is handy if you are visiting the city.

Open Play and Free Pickleball in Madrid

Drop-in “open play” sessions like the ones common in the US are still rare in Madrid. The easiest way to find a game is to join a beginners’ class at a municipal centre or ask the clubs above whether they run social sessions or “partidas abiertas”. Courts at municipal centres are not free, but they cost much less than private clubs.
